Insider tip: Mieders “hideaway” – experience the real Tyrol

One highlight in Mieders is the summer toboggan run, on which you can race down into the valley at up to 42 km/h. It is very easy to get up there with the Serlesbahn, which in winter also takes you directly to the skiing area and in summer to a hiking area that offers everything from pleasure hikes to an ascent of the Serles.

The special location of Mieders makes it possible to find peace and relaxation in the village, but also to reach the impressive provincial capital of Innsbruck within 15 minutes. There is always a hustle and bustle, whether you are in the center or at the picturesque Old Town with its world-famous Golden Roof. Numerous shops, restaurants, museums and many more attractions, such as the Bergisel Ski Jump or the Tyrol Panorama Museum, attract tourists from all over the world every day and all year round.

Water lovers will enjoy the Serles Lake on the Koppeneck observation platform, where in 2016, a water games adventure park has been created that invites visitors to build dams and play.
