Outdoor adventures at Hotel Serles

Family holidays at the Stubaital are a true adventure!

Summer time is family time. Finally, the kids are off school and there is nothing in the way of a joint vacation in the Stubai Alps. And since hiking can be done by everyone, it is a sport that makes all family members happy. Especially in a region as diverse as the Stubaital: From exciting themed paths to balancing courses and forest playgrounds, there is a lot to discover and experience. The Hotel Serles family hiking week is an absolute highlight for kids, teens, and parents. The two babies of the Hotel Serles family, Lorenz and Marina, are always happy to join and have fun with the guest kids.

At Schlick 2000, children and parents can find a diverse tree-house path, where dwarf Bardin takes them on a treasure hunt. In the tree houses, there is room to play, explore, and have a snack in between. The alpine plants path and the nature trail are also located at Schlick 2000 and provide insights into Tyrol’s fauna and flora. From the panorama observation platform “StubaiBlick”, you can see as far as the Zillertal Alps. These goals encourage the little ones and time passes in a flash!

At the WildeWasserWeg hiking area, the Klaus Äuele playground is located. Crossing the water on a float, flying fox, climbing walls and a low ropes course fascinate the little ones, while their parents relax on the lawn and follow the hustle and bustle.

The themed paths at the Stubaital, such as the Reflection Path or the Glacier Trail, are not only easy to master by children, but also provide insights into the history of the Stubaital as well as fauna and flora. Things get exciting in the ice grotto on the Stubai Glacier, which can be accessed via a secured path.

Why not walk barefoot? It is healthy and wonderfully tickles the feet! The moor hike in Mieders at the Stubaital is the perfect opportunity. Trudge through the soft moor, walk over the warm grass, and then recharge your batteries with a delicious meal. The Mieders moor hike is very easy, and thus also suitable for the smallest hikers.

Maria Waldrast is a particularly popular family hiking destination and thanks to the new excursion train also easily accessible from Koppeneck. The alluvial river landscape of Klaus Äuele impresses with its waters: Probably the most popular element with children. The water and the sand resemble a real beach and you can easily spend the entire day sunbathing and splashing around. Water is also the focus of the Quellenweg hike in Mieders. Along streams, springs and wells, it takes you past the Ochsenhütte to the pilgrimage site of Maria Waldrast. This family hike is a little shorter from the Serlesbahnen summit station.

Our tip: If the kids are not in the mood for hiking, they are well looked after at the BIG Family Stubai Summer Club. Every day, a new adventure is on the agenda: At the Fulpmes Adventure Park, while pony riding, swimming or at the predatory bird park in Telfes im Stubaital, the children experience a summer full of action and fun.
